  • render files online? Problem with 720p50 .mov-file

Hello. I have got a file from a Mac-user. I can view the file in VLC on my PC, but I can not take it into Vegas, Premiere++
When I try to render it with Adobe Media endcoder, it mixes together video from maybe five seconds back and forth, so its just a mess.

    The file is 720p50.

I was woundering if there is a site online where I can upload the file, and have them render it it into a .avi (or other format) that Vegas can accept?

Or if you have any suggestions on downloadable programs that can render “problematic” .mov-files.

    Thanks,

    -Kenneth

What version of Vegas do you have?
What version of QuickTime do you have?
If it was shot with a P2 camcorder, the only way Vegas will read it is if you have DVFilm from Raylight installed.
Can the Mac user give it to you as a ProRes file?

    vegas pro 10.0
    Quicktime 7.5 (861)
I am about to download Quicktime pro now, I think I can remember that I can export files with quicktime Pro, to see if that helps?

I think I also got it as a ProRes file(???), but I can not see/open it in any way (it is 22,7gb, while the one I can view in VLC, but not render correctly is 4,4 gb)
I was thinking about uploading the file to the videos/reels here at creativecow, but it seems maximum size is 1gb…
