render files as actual media files
We are working on a project with multiple formats, and not enough money to get things transfered professionally. Typical making up for lack of capital with human capital…
We are working predominantly with JVC 720p24 HDV media, but the geniuses also have a 1080i60 Canon HDV camera that we need to work with. After trying various conversion processes that really don’t work, I realized that the 1080i media rendered in the 720p workspace was by far and away the best. Is it possible to do a large, batch render, then remove those created files from the RENDER folder, put them in CAPTURE SCRATCH, and import then back into the project like any other media file. Obviously, we would not have sound, but we could make sync reels without too much trouble.
Has anyone tried this? Are there timecode or any other issues that I am not anticipating down the line? Will we have to eye match everything when we go to the online?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
