When I drag an avi file to menu window in DVD architect 4.5 appear “render failure”. It happens with any avi file downloaded from internet. I’ll appreciate any help.

    Thanks

Download gspot and it will tell you what format the avi file is in. It may be Xvid or DivX or some other unrecognized format. If you can find out what is kept in the avi wrapper, you can either A. Download the VFW codec that will allow you to use it, or B. convert it in Vegas to a format that DVDA can recognize.

I’m having the save problem with a project that I’ve been updating every few months for about 4 years. Several of the clips now say “Render Failure” with little no symbols in the corners of the clips.

Nothing has changed on most of the clips, I just updated one of the commercial blocks and now over half of my clips show this.

If I burn the DVD it only shows the text for the clip on the menu & when you select it for playback you only get audio.

Another DVD Architect Pro 5.0 feature? And I am a legitimate user in case that changes a response.

    I’m having the same problem.

Sometimes the problem is resolved if I delete newly – created by Sony STK – files in the video source folder or reloading the project.

But now these schemes don’t work and I am stuck.

I have a new computer with 4 Intel Cores and Windows 7 and just purchased the Sony package.

Did you ever resolve this issue?

Thanks for the inquiry. No, the issue is still there. As a registered user, I’ve sent a help request to Sony. To date nothing it’s nearly a week since I’ve initially sent it. Bad customer service. 🙁
