  • Render engine not placing video included in nested comp.

This is a big deal, rather late in the day, as the video is for an event thsi evening. Hah.
Anyway, I’m working with a project I bought online. It has video nested 3 comps deep. They are design to look like they are playing on the sides of buildings in 3D space.
In the comp panel they show up just fine. In RAM preview they show up just fine. But when I try to render them out to avi files the included videos do not show up. All the motino graphics work correctly, comeras moves are right, etc. Just no video on the buildings.
Any thoughts on such short notice?
Here’s a link to the project file I adapted.

    Thanks,
    Elliot

Thanks for the quick response, Dave.
In another thread someone had suggested that “Render with OpenGL” be turned off. I had it turned off, so I turned it on. Viola.

I actually tested it both ways, and on my setup OpenGL needs to be on for the videos to be rendered from inside the pre-comps.

However, that is great advice about actually deleting unused effects. It could significantly improve the render speed, if there are a lot of invisible effects hanging out.

    Thanks again,
    Elliot

Agreed. The most bizarre solution I’ve ever heard (that worked).
Nice to know OpenGL can be good for something.

I think for fast rendering, you need to manipulate to preferences in after effects, cause ever afe software by default uses only 2 GB of RAM, and after you allow to use more than 2 GB then your render speed will be increased but your machine CPU and RAM will work harder to get the final results. To increase the rendering options please make a google search. Best wishes… Liridon Agushi
