    Hi,

    I have since found a workaround that worked for me. It is posted elsewhere on the web, so I take no credit for it, or responsibility if anything goes wrong – but it solved it completely for me (on 9.0b, build 92). If you wish to try it here’s a step-by-step:

    First shutdown any running instances of movie studio.
    1. Download and install CFF Explorer from https://www.ntcore.com.
    2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 on your hard disk
    3. Make a backup copy of “VegasMovieStudioPE90.exe” to
    “VegasMovieStudioPE90 – Backup.exe” (you’re about to edit an exe, so if it all goes wrong you can use the backup copy to go back without a full re-install
    4. Now run CFF Explorer
    5. File->Open, navigate and select VegasMovieStudioPE90.exe
    6. In the tree pane on the left navigate to File:VegaMovieStudioPE9.exe->Nt Headers->File Header (click on ‘File Header’ so it is selected)
    7. On the panel on the right, in the bottom left click where is says ‘Click Here’
    8. In the dialog that pops up select the check box for “App can handle >2gb address space” and press OK
    9. Select File->Save and say yes to overwrite the opriginal file (you already have a backup)

    All done – try rendering again.
