Activity Forums DaVinci Resolve render compatibility

I have been using Apple Color for several years. I have a main work office setup and a more basic home setup.

Sometimes I do projects where I grade at home and then send the project file over the internet to my work office location, and render there (media is cloned and available on both workstations).

I am currently learning DaVinci Resolve and will be setting up Resolve stations at my home and office locations over the next 6 – 12 months.

One issue I addressed with this setup in Color was that different graphics cards produced renders that looked different. In particular there was a noticeable gamma shift rendering the same project on a system with an ATI card vs NVidia.

Does anyone know if different graphics card configurations produce renders that actually look different when the same project is rendered out?

    Thx

    A.S.

Hi, you should not see any difference at all. The way we process everything in GPU and our internal checks between CUDA and OpenCL show no variation between cards or GPU type.
