When I add an effect such as a cross dissolve it plays great in real time. When I render it the brightness changes. (I’m watching this on a broadcast monitor) I have mastered this to a Beta tape and played it in another edit bays deck. It is showing the same results.
My system settings are set to: RT – Safe, Video Quality – High.

In your sequence settings, under video processing, make sure you’re rendering in YUV, not RGB.

I’m already set to render in 8-bit YUV. Can it be a different setting?

I’ Ven encountered this before…Delete all the renders for the sequence using Render Manager. Quit FCP and restart your computer. Then re-render everything. That is what usually works for us.

    Good luck,

    Chris

    Hi,

In your timeline settings, set the video processing to “White” and not “Super White”. This also got rid of the luma shift for us…

    Best,
