  Render bar appearing from nowhere

  I’ve been working on a project for a couple of months cutting natively 4k with no problem at all.
  No render bar on any of the sequences.

  Now, picture is locked, I export Prores HQ to grade in Davinci. All fine. I import the graded final version back in to PP and conform and export a viewing copy for vimeo. This was on Monday. There was no render bar on any sequence. It was clear.

  Today I open the project and every single sequence has a yellow render bar on it! And playback and editing are now really laggy. It’s so frustrating. I’ve tried reducing quality playback, When I quite the project without saving, reopen it and then open a sequence that previously had no render bar, for two seconds it appears to not have one again, but then it all goes yellow. Even if I choose a clip and try creating a new sequence from that clip, the sequence has the yellow render bar

  If anyone can shed light on this I’d be grateful, as this is the kind of issue that’s quickly driving me away from Premiere.
