I’m having a heck of a time getting this to work.

First, the render. Original files are AVCHD. After many failed attempts on two machines (vista, quad core, the other with 7, core i7) with Vegas Platinum, I finally downloaded a trial version of Vegas Pro 9 and the render completed on the i7 machine. Any ideas why the render would crash on Platinum, and not on Pro? I’m hoping I won’t have to pay the extra for Pro.

The DVD burn. I keep getting an error in DVD Architect Pro (trial version) on the i7 machine. Something about the .m2ts files (Wish I was on the problem machine, so I could copy it verbatim). Two renders came up with the same error (one was a .avc file, and the other was .mts file – I think). A similar render burned to DVD ok on the quad core machine in DVD architect pro – trial version. Any ideas?

I would like to be able to complete the process of producing a DVD on a single machine.

    Thank you for any help.

the platinum has a known issue with crashing on render with the sony codec. buy it then log a support request, then sony will send you a 20//5 discount link which you can use to upgrade to the pro its much more stable.
