hi all, have a 5min hd 1080p file edited (from my sony z7), client needs it to be inserted into powerpoint presentation, and played back at best quality possible – pc is a new dell laptop, which will be runinng a hdmi lead to a plasma, they do not want to run the file from mediaplayer or dvd…but dont want it crashing or running slowly either !

need to get this finished by tomorrow, and thoight it would be easiest to ask here rather than spend all night trialling different codecs, vbr, cbr etc !

on this topic still – is there a site anywhere which gives you recommendations for certain types of file exports, ie for vimeo, youtube, for download etc?

    thanks in advance all, glen.

I do a lot of ppt presentations with video clips. Not only do i do the training but i also create clips for my department of trainers. I will admit,I have never used HD clips in my ppt, but I do know that I have had more success with WMV files (the Microsoft codec for video), than with mpg or any other files. PPT has been very tempermental for me, and sometimes mpgs, if they are small files, will work. But, agaiian, WMV files have worked best for me. Perhaps others may be able to shed more light on the issue.
