I have the Cineform codecs installed on a windows 7 machine, however, even though PPro CS5 recognizes them and utilizes them, Vegas 10E does not show them in the Render As drop down box. Any way to get this to happen?

I am editing 3D in Cineform Neo3D and using Vegas 10E to process L & R data streams from Sony NX3D1 24p footage. To export out to Cineform would be a great timesaver as the uncompressed MOV files Vegas does export are gargantuan – 48GB for a 4 minute clip.

    Any suggestions welcomed.

I think CineForm is stored in a AVI container format in Windows, so choose AVI as the Render As format, then you should Cineform HD under that.

Thanks Matt, I’m exporting to MOV because I’m editing in FCP with Neo3D and not on the Windows platform.

I am using Vegas 10E to break out the L/R eyes from Sony NX3D1 24p footage, which is pretty much the only software that will do this. There is a program MVC>AVI that works with 60i files but not with 24P as I have discovered.

I did find the Cineform HD codec just now, it’s in the Custom dialog drop down under Quicktime export.

Trying it now to see if it works. Exporting to MOV save the whole transcode from AVI process.
