“Render and Replace” is not available anymore for my dynamically linked After Effects comps. When I right click on the comp in my Premiere timeline, “Render and Replace” is greyed out.

Any ideas? It was working just fine a few days ago.

Has there been any changes to the After Effects project to which they are dynamically linked? Moved to another location or renamed in some way?

I figured it out – my preview files were set to ProRes 1920×1080 and my sequence is set up as 971×551 (odd size I know). Once I changed the preview files to I-Frame Only MPEG 971×551 everything was back to normal.

    Carry on 🙂

I thought I had this sorted out but I started a new project today and I’m running into the same issues.

I’m unable to “Render and Replace” some of my After Effects comps in my Premiere timeline. Some work fine, others have the option greyed out. Changing the preview file format hasn’t worked in this case. And I can’t seem to find any discernible differences between the working comps and the non-working comps.

Anyone else seen this with their projects?
