render and export makes one specific clip go all black!
hello everyone,
so here’s my dilemma, i was given this sequence to work on and do some minor fixes. i needed to add some letter boxing. easy enough, i generate some color mattes and drop one of them in…. when i go to crop it, i can’t see the picture that’s underneath the matte. i move the matte around as image + wireframe, nothing, it’s all black. drop some other random video filters like a blur effect and as soon as i drag into the clip in the timeline it goes black. tried it on other clips in the timeline and everything works as it should! drop a blur filter on another clip and sure enough a blur filter i get. the “faulty” clip does not need any rendering. i compared it’s item properties with other clips and they all match as well as match with my sequence settings.
so here’s somethings i tried. i nested just that one clip. when i layed a matte over it, it seemed to be working fine. when i cropped it i could see the clip underneath. however as soon as i rendered it all went back to black! second option, i exported the clip using the sequence settings.. when i imported the track into the session.. the audio was fine but no picture! it was all black!any suggestions? this is really really strange.
thank you!
