How do you render all of the effects in the timeline? I tried to put an in and out point at the beginning and end of the timeline and used the render shortcut on top of the timeline, but that doesn’t work. It seems to only let me render clip by clip.

Highlight all tracks, Mark start to end however you wish (I usually do a mark in to out with all tracks highlighted). Right click on the sequence and click on “Render in to out.”

Instead of Right-clicking you can add the function – Clip>Render -In-Out to your keyboard. You can also add Expert Render In-Out. Two useful options.

You only need to render the top most layer. What I do sometimes is put a blank 3d warp above everything I want
Rendered and just render the 3d warp. Plays

If your sequence is FX heavy you may have to ‘step in’ on the layered FX and render each layer separately. if you are rendering audio, make sure that you have the audio suite tool open 🙂
