    Hello everyone!

    I have a problem with audio track naming and/or audio importing. I have timecode sync between DVCAM video and audio recorded on a harddrive. The harddrive recorder makes files BWF and all the tracks are separate files. So, when imported into Avid and synced with video, i get grouped clips with A1 and A2 as the reference from the DVCAM and all of the harddrive recorded audio as A1.

    I need a solution to get the audio to import or sync or be renamed as A3-A6. Can you do it with Composer?

    BTW. Is there an option to sync a the timeline?

    If any of the tracks are the same, the result of an AutoSync will be a group clip. You can sync via the timeline;

    Cut picture and audio as a single event timeline
    Cut BWF as tracks 3+

    Highlught sequence in bin and do an AutoSeqeunce.

    Result is a subclip.

    I meant AutoSync, not AutoSequence.

    Thanks a lot!

    allthough it would be nice to just rename the tracks. Have to ask Avid if they would like to add this simple feature 🙂

    Actually you are looking for a renumbering and not a renaming – the internal structure of the system needs to be aware of this…
