Is there a keyboard shortcut for renaming favourites?

    I – marks In
    O – marks Out
    F – creates Favorite

I then have to mouse over and click in the name box to rename… then go back to the keyboard to type in the name.

Ideally it would have an option to go straight to renaming after creating the ‘favorite’ – with enter to close and continue sub-clipping (sorry, event-favouriting)

    Thanks

Cmd+K opens up the keyword dialogue. There you can create your own keywords and use shortcuts to apply them. It’s like custom favorites.

OK, thanks. I’ll try Keywords as the new subclips.

[Trevor Asquerthian] “I’ll try Keywords as the new subclips.”

I usually go through and keyword the footage first to organize it. When you set a keyword, it creates a keyword collection which is like a bin w/subclips. To further narrow down what I will use in the edit, I go into the keyword collections and set favorites. Then I throw some favorites on the timeline and start editing.
