    Rename AVCHD clips

    I’m trying to figure out how to deal with the absolutely inane way the AF100 names clips, and then how PP CS5-Mac imports them. All my clips, of course have the same naming sequence (00000.MTS through xxxxx.MTS).

    Does anyone have a workable strategy for renaming the clips with useable names (adding the date before the clip number for example), within this ridiculous file structure (the PRIVATE folder)???

    A workaround seems to be to rename the files in the STREAM subfolder, but these have to be imported as Media Browser will not recognize them. Timecode will be lost too.
