Removing seeping daylight?
I’ve got a brief interior shot, that is meant to be taking place at night, but was shot in the daytime. There are blinds blocking the daylight on the windows, except along some of the blind’s edges where, the daylight is very obviously showing. The rest of the shot is mostly midtones (murky), i.e. in sharp contrast to the seeping light which appears as thin white intermitent edging.
I’d like to effectively make that white seepage dark (as if it is night outside).
Been wrestling with the 3 way color corrector and limiter without much success. I can isolate the white/soften etc, but can’t darken it enough before it looks artificial. I have also tried multiplying the filter effect.
Is there a better filter I should be using for this? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Footage is SD miniDV and using FCP 6.06
