  • Removing Playback Output options

Posted by Matt Gerard on October 17, 2008 at 2:36 pm

Is there any way to decrease the number of options in the FCP Video Playback drop list in the Audio/Video settings box? I hate having to scroll through 35 settings when I actually only use 2 or 3. I’ve talked to AJA support, they seem to know less about it than I do.

    Thanks!

What Kona do you have and what version of the software?

Kona LH, Control Panel version 5.1

Just looked, and see there’s a 6.0 update. I’m downloading that now. Will that help me out any?

In the setup tab of the Kona Control panel of the new software, you can select which presets load. I think this feature is available for the LH, I’m not sure.

Basically it will narrow it down to NTSC based frame rates (29.97/59.94/23.98)

    or film based (24.0/60.0/30.0)

    or PAL (25/50)

Select what you need and deselect the others, then launch FCP.

It cuts down on the clutter a bunch.

Brilliant!!! This is what I was looking for. Should update all my other software and see what else I’m missing…
