  • Removing Interactive button frame for PDF interaction

Hello I am using Adobe InDesign CS2 (I know I’m waaaay behind) and hoping the solution to my problem is universal on all versions.

I have created a feature with a very specific shape (not square like the default button frame). I would like to be able to click on ONLY the feature (content inside the frame) when it is viewed in a PDF, but instead the pointer tool activates as soon as it runs over the button’s frame (which cannot be seen in the PDF). Is there a way to remove the button frame so that the pointer only activates when it touches the feature?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
