    Hello,

I’m editing a music video that has been shot with a Sony Z1 in HDV 1080i 50 PAL. They used the CineFrame effect to give it a more ‘filmic’ feel – a bit like deinterlacing the footage while you shoot.

Anyway, some of the shots were filmed with the camera locked off on a slowly revolving turntable, and as the background passes by it flickers quite noticeably. It really doesn’t like the linear movement from left to right – it’s actually been recorded like that and appears as such when played straight to a monitor off tape, so it’s not the way I’ve digitised it.

What would be the best way to remove this flicker using Motion 3? I’ve tried all the flicker and deinterlace tricks in FCP but alas to no avail, so now I’d like to try the Motion route.

    Many thanks for reading,

    Steve.
