removing duplicate frames – post capture off varicam 720p 23.98 footage
First of all I’m running FCP 5.0.4 on G5 dual 2.5 with 4.5 gig of RAM. I have a project that was shot on varicam 720p at 23.98. I captured it using HD-1200a connected to my decklink HD Pro via HD-SDI. The deck that I rented did not have the firewire port hance digitzing as HD-SDI. My capture setting was Decklink DVCPro HD 720p varicam 59.94. Originally I tried Decklink DVCPro HD 720p varicam 23.98 but the clip played very slow thus going out of sync with the audio. Now I have clips that are at 59.94 that I need to convert to 23.98 to work in original frame rate. I tried applying remove advance pulldown like the manual says but it comes back with an error message. I’ve tried the Frame Rate Converter and that gives me another error message. When I bring the 59.94 clip into the 23.98 timeline and render, it stutters like crazy. Is there a post solution that works to remove duplicate frames. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
