Cool workaround.
However, I just thought of a different way that is more flexible. Select the clips and then in the inspector and then make any adjustments needed: turn off the effects/reset the color board, delete the filters, etc. and it will turn them off/delete for all the selected clips.
As a bonus this techniques also works to add filters to multiple clips. Just select them, and double click on a filter to add the effect to all selected clips. Works for audio filters too! The only thing it doesn’t work on is the color board. ;(
While you are at it you can make pseudo “groups” of clips by changing the name in the inspector (a little wierd yes, but it doesn’t change the file name just the clip name in the timeline) and using the timeline index to select all the clips in your “group” at once. So you could create a group for SFX for example and then modify the audio levels. Or perhaps a color grading group where you add filters for that group.
Maybe there are other ways to pull this off?
