Does anyone have any tips on the following:

My client asked me if I could remove a adhesive tape mark on the talents shirt. Apparently the makeup artist used a small piece of tape to keep the talents shirt closed where the microphone cable was poking threw near his neck.

Over the course of the day, the tape started to come apart from the shirt and there is one segment where the tape is pretty visible.

The camera is on a waist shot and the tape that is seen is about 3 or 4 inches down from the neck.

Is there any motion tracking I can do? Or clone motion tracking?

The video footage is 1920×1080 and the shirt is reddish color.

    Thanks for any advise.

You could motion track the shot, paint out the offending tape and apply the tracking data to your paint layer. Depends on how much the talent is moving around, I guess.

You could duplicate your footage layer, mask out a “replacement” part of the shirt without tape on it and track that into your original footage – a patch of sorts.

How long is the shot? Maybe you can just animate the patch without tracking.

It’s only work if you’d rather be doing something else…

I dont have the footage right now – I will have it tomorrow at the clients office. This is the talent and placement of the mic. I believe he is wearing a red button up shirt with the tape showing
