Removing a drone ground shadow
Posted by Michael West on July 26, 2017 at 3:18 pmGood morning:
Editing my first short film.
One of the scenes has a drone flying up from a bed of flowers in the middle of a fairly dry hillside field here in Northern California (if that helps).
The scene itself is not very long.
The shadow of the drone is visible on the ground, as the scene was shot midday.
Is there a way to remove the shadow from the scene using Motion 5?
Thank you in advance.

July 27, 2017 at 6:56 amDepending on the amount of movement in the camera/shadow, SliceX may or may not be an alternative.
Same principle, only with the tracking and a few more image correction options built in, albeit more expensive as well.

July 27, 2017 at 11:38 amGood morning Mark:
In order to use Ripple Tools II, do I have to download the latest version of FX Factory?
I am using Yosemite on my Mac and FX Factory requires a more recent version, which, from past experience, I hesitate to change ’cause things have gotten messed up.
Is there a way to use Tools II with my Yosemite?
Thanks.

July 27, 2017 at 1:56 pmFxFactory makes versions for older operating systems, just go to their download page and scroll down, you’ll see the options:
https://fxfactory.com/download/
You need version 5.1.3 that is the latest for Yosemite.—
