We shot a TV commercial with several of the Dallas Mavericks and now the client is telling us that the Mavericks name has to come off their jersey…we were told this after the shoot. The players were shot on green screen while they were dancing so there are lots of wrinkles etc…. I have tried a couple of quick tests but I am getting concerned that this may be very difficult, if not impossible to do, given the size of the Mavericks name on the jersey. Does anyone have any suggestions, plugins for AE, or techniques that could help us out…it would be very appreciated.

the second post from the thread https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/2/885034?univpostid=885019&pview=t might work for ya, although it was more for small tracking dots, it may work or at least be a good stepping stone to what you need.

    Good Luck

    Reshoot with a generic jersey

Attempting this in post will be easy to do poorly, but will cost more time and energy to do right.

It will cost MORE than the cost of a reshoot.

Make sure to chew the a$$ off the person who signed off on a VIDEO SHOOT using any professional sports logos.

You can blur the logos but if theyre large then charge the client for the additional effects.

Frame by frame in photoshop works…depending on how long it is. Export it as a JPEG sequence. It’s lots of work, and may not look good enough to live up to your standards. I’ve used this technique to get rid of boom mics that found themselves in the shot. Good luck! Tim
