Remove Shakiness, Steady Plug-in? I’m in SHOCK…
Posted by A.lee on April 24, 2005 at 5:24 pmIs there a plugin in FCP to stabilize video? Or in any other program? I just viewed extremely important footage from another shooter and there is an unacceptable about of shakiness. In fact, I have no idea how someone shooting handheld can be that shaky? Footage is about 10 seconds. Something happened and shooter had to go off the tripod.
In any other program? desparation. After effects? Adobe?
This is unbelieveable and disappointing.
Thank you.

April 24, 2005 at 6:19 pmPersonally, I like Combustion for Motion Tracking/Stabilizing…
If you like, I’ll be happy to take a look at an MPEG thumbnail for you, and evaluate chances of a good fix, and how long it might take.
Drop me an email, if you like.

April 24, 2005 at 10:26 pmTry this: https://www.istabilize.de/index.html
You can try it as a demo to see if it works before you buy. Inexpensive, works good. Check out the examples.

April 25, 2005 at 2:46 amJust for kicks, you can at least try the image stabilizing filter right in Final Cut. It’s found under the Video tab in the filters folder.
Worth a try anyhow…

April 25, 2005 at 3:12 amI’ve been using Boris RED for several years now when stabalizing within FCP. Works great. No need to leave FCP. However, RED is a bit expensive if you only need it for the one function.
