    Hi All

I’ve imported all my recorded movies from my camcorder to FCP with ‘create proxy media’ AND ‘create optimized media’ enabled. This resulted in a huge amount of hard disk capacity being used for the optimized media (> 300GB of the available 500 GB). I want to undo this or remove these optimized media files without FCP crashing or showing errors.
Can I just go the folder containing the optimized media files and move them all to trash? OR should I do this from within FCP so FCP knows these are no longer available?

    Thanks for all help.

With the application closed go into the event folder and find the High Quality media folder and trash it.

    All the best,

    Tom
