Hi,i made some interviews in a noizy environment. Because of this problem all the audio of the interviews is disturbed by this constant hummmm. Is there a tutorial or someone who knows how to resolve this prob?

    Kind Regard,

If it’s a constant noise and it’s not too loud, you can minimize it using Soundtrack. Look up how to sample to set a noise print and then use the reduce noise feature. I’m not in the program right now, and it might not be the correct verbiage, but it’s in there and it actually works pretty well under the right conditions. Un fortunately, unlike Dave above, I have had to deal with this problem.

The tutorial for Soundtrack has a great section on how to do this. I think it’s about halfway into it. It’s pretty simple and works like a charm. (I’ve had to use it to remove ac hum)

If it’s a low frequency hum, you might be able to get away with just a high pass filter or parametric equalizer. If it’s in a building, it’s usually a multiple of 60Hz, so you can try putting notches at 60Hz, 120Hz, 180Hz and see it it helps.
