  • Remove a thing from Take Manager – impossible?

    Hello,
I’m using the Take Manager, but want to remove a few things from it (that I’d previously added some time ago) so they are no longer controlled by the take manager. But there seems to be no way of doing this – once I’ve added something to a take, it’s in there for life. Right-clicking something in the Take Manager does nothing. Hitting Delete to remove something does nothing. There MUST be some cryptic, hidden way to stop the Take Manager controlling a thing…isn’t there?

Specifically, I have an object whose visibility was controlled by some takes, and I’d now like that thing to just be visible all the time, regardless of what take is active. So I want it to just not be in the Take Manager at all…you wouldn’t have thought that would be a tricky request, would you?!

Thanks in advance for any help. I’m on C4D S22.

The only way I’ve found is to duplicate the object and delete the original

    Hi Paul,

I’m not very familiar with the Take System and I don’t like using it, but I think any item can be deleted by simply selecting the Take , then selecting the item in the group, and then pressing the delete button, since right-clicking doesn’t do anything here. I don’t know about version S22, but this works in newer versions as well as in versions older than S22. The problem might be specific to this version.
