I’m trying to take a flat image and make it look like the light that I created is scraping across the side of the building instead of hitting the front and side in the same perspective like a flat image. I understand that I could copy the front of the building and make my own building side, and that would work, but I was wondering if i could just map it out with a grid or something, and the light would respond to that grid. Does that make sense?

I speak for everyone: Makes no sense at all.
If you don’t want to create a 3D object that resembles a cube, you can apply Bevel Alpha and a light sweep layer to the the resulting edge.
