Reload RMD from disk?
So I’m grading a project shot on Red and someone ahead of me worked on some but not all clips in RedCineX and saved their work to the RMD metadata, in particular some good curves work.
But they didn’t apply their work to all the clips of a particular setup that got used in the edit.
Now I’m grading the project and would like to use the RMD curves on the clips that do not currently have those curves applied.— Resolve (11.2) does not provide any tools to edit the curves within resolve.
— If I make a preset in Red Cine X and use that to apply the curves to the previously untreated clips, Resolve does not seem to be recognizing that the RMD has been updated. (This is for R3D clips already in the Media Pool and already conformed in a timeline. How can I get Resolve to re-load the RMD files?
A kludgey work-around is to import the R3D a second time into the Media Pool (in a separate bin) and “force conform to selected clip” the clips in the timeline to the new clip in the Media Pool.
Anyone have some better solutions?
Thanks!
John
