relinking video
Sorry if this is FCP 101 but, I do I relink a video track to the audio track if only the audio is on the timeline? Match Frame will only match the audio and not show the video. The clip in question is a V1 A1 clip. The video was removed from the timeline and now I need to replace it.

When you match frame, is the original clip coming up, but displaying the audio tab in the viewer? If so, click on the video tab in the viewer, and you should see the video.

Because I deleted the Video portion of the clipd from the timeline, Match Fram only displays the audio portion.

When I do the same thing, I get the original clip, video and audio, in the viewer.
Did the audio and video get captured together, or did you make a merge clip later?

I captured together. Unlinked the two on the timeline for trimming. Later on when I needed to restore some of the video, I would park the playhead on the place that where the audio was correct. But Match Frame will on call up the audio portion of the clips and not the video.
