I had a sequence in FCP 4.5 with some integrated motion files. I copied the project with the media manager to another disk. The sequence seems to be ok but when I try to re-open the motion file from the timeline (open in editor command) the motion file doesn’t play anymore in motion and I can’t make any more chances to the file.
    I guess it’s a bug….
    Anyone had the same problem?

    Thanks,

    Hey Pol,

Is the Motion file just missing all its media, so it’s rendering the ‘Missing Footage’ error message, or are you actually having a problem with editing the project?

Well, it’s very strange. I get 1 frame of the clip with all the effects but when I play the sequence in motion there’s no media. There’s only 1 frame media, a still frame. Under the media tab I get the right clip but there seems to be a problem with the linking to the timeline.
    It’s kinda difficult to explain…
FCP is also acting strange…when I apply a key above the imported motion file (.motn) I get a checkerboard. The media just dissappears, I guess I lose the render file and since the link is broken there’s no media to be shown.
