  Relinking audio AFTER changing sample rate

  I’m trying to relink audio files AFTER having changed the sample rate from 96kHz to 48kHz.
  Doesn’t seem possible. FCPX doesn’t recognize them as being compatible. This seems like a huge bug to me. Is there any option other than starting from scratch and resyncing ALL the audio in my project after first converting to 48 kHz?
