    Hi

I am trying to make a globe with relief texturing

In cinema I have a relief object using a geotiff of the globe to displace it.

I have a jpeg of the earth in the color channel as a material and this all works fine. It sits perfectly over the displaced geometry but as soon as a click spherical the material goes all out of alignment.

No matter what I do I cannot get the material to align with the displaced geometry when it is spherical.

Can anybody help, I’ve been at this for days and I’m getting nowhere.

    Cheers

    Jake

what mapping is being used for the color jpeg texture? It is probably UVW by default, which would be fine for the flat projection but it should be changed to Spherical when you make the Relief spherical.

Thanks Brian but I actually figured it out.
I offset U coordinate on material tag by 25% and it worked

    Cheers
