“release to layers” doesn´t work =(
I have autotraced a number of objects in AI. I expanded the trace and ungrouped them, so they are all individual path layers. I need to bring them into AfterEffects so I select them all and “Release to Layers Sequence.” I then try to un-nest the layers by dragging them out of the parent layer and AI won´t let me.
I notice that when I do “Release to Layers,” the path layers do not change label colors, and seem to remain
.. so it seems AI isn´t releasing them. I don´t know why. I can drag each object to a new layer manually, but this will take hours… any ideas? Running AI CS3.. I think this is Vista but it´s not my comp.
