Release date for 2015 Premiere Update?
Posted by Peter Corbett on April 29, 2015 at 1:35 amDid anyone at NAB find out when the new PPro update will drop? I want to do a complete Mac Pro reinstall but want to do it at the time the new CC is released.

April 29, 2015 at 2:26 amOh my God, it’s a voice from the past… Hi Peter!
I consulted my crystal ball, and it says Adobe will release CC 2015 sometime in the next 7-months… 🙂

Yes it is I, the Ghost of D-Vision Past.
Geez, I hope it’s not seven months!

April 29, 2015 at 3:13 amOh no, I was jesting old friend. I honestly have absolutely no idea when the new version is going to be released. However, Adobe has been pretty exceptional in getting out their releases. And, they didn’t have the need to change the century-old vernacular of our business while doing so. 🙂

April 29, 2015 at 3:23 amThanks David. I thought as much! Looking forward to the new Lumetri features. It seems lthat much of the post world has migrated to Premiere. It’s not sneered at anymore. 🙂

April 29, 2015 at 4:00 pmIf the last couple of years are any indication, they usually do the two yearly updates in June & October.

“Agreed! And, if we had said that right around the time Apple EOL’d FCP 7, people would thought we were loony. Got to give Adobe credit in many areas, but it’s the Holy Grail of no transcoding and seamless playback of anything on the timeline that truly sets it apart from the rest.

June 16, 2015 at 2:29 amJune 15th and still no news, does that mean Adobe intends to delay the CC update until October 2015?
