Reinstall of Vegas PRO 8.1 Registration Problem
Hello
I’ve reinstalled Vegas Pro 8.0 and 8.1 on a few occassions with success. However, the most recent attempt on the same computer, Windows Vista 32/64 bit, won’t complete final registration steps. It locks at this point. I’ve tried disabling my Charter.net Security Suite (this is new security security software for this attempt to reinstall) The error message is:
Attempting to register Sony Vegas Pro 8.1 Now connecting to the server and processing your request. It may take a few moments for this to complete. Please wait. Requesting cookie.
Any help would be appreciated.

Why in the first place are you reinstalling Vegas 8 on your

At times the program has locked up on me during editing. So, I went back to Vegas Pro 8.0 until the project was finished. Then I went back to try 8.1 to see if maybe it wasn’t fully installed. I did this maybe two times with the same locking up problem. Either way, I need to reinstall 8.0 or 8.1 to finish a wedding I’m working on.

Hello again,
I’m in need of use of Vegas to finish some work I have a dedline on and also have a new customer that needs a quick turnaround. But without being able to reinstall Vegas, I have to tell the new customer I don’t know if I can meet their needs due to Vegas problems.
