    What are you talking about?

You sound like you’ve been abducted by aliens!

Hey man, sending your info to Avid when you log in to FCP is the greatest NLE conspiracy of all time. Why do you think everyone’s so maniacal about the tools they use?

    Aliens?

    No.

    Market research.

At this point it’s too late, they’ll have already installed the chip wirelessly …in your sleep

Man, you’re screwed. Next time you start FCP… well I’d say give it a few hours before the Apple police turn up. They might look like a bunch of stoner hippies on Segways but you don’t wanna mess with them. Don’t be fooled by the gentle waft of patchouli and their inevitable request for a cup of mate. They know how to get medieval on yo’ ass…

    Be afraid.

[Walther Ghier] “I accidentally clicked the “Register Now” button and was informed that my data will be transmitted to Apple the next time I am online and log on to FCP. How can avoid this?”

1 – There’s no way to stop the information from being sent.

2 – What’s the big deal? Are you using someone else’s software and don’t want to register it?

3 – Why in the world are you creating two threads about the exact same issue?

You have one thread down below with some responses. Absolutely no reason to start a second thread about the exact same issue.

Oh and if you’re worried about Apple getting your “personal information” for whatever reason, keep in mind that Apple has staff who read every single post on every single forum on the Cow that has to do with Apple software and hardware. So right now Apple knows that you’ve started two threads to avoid registration of your software.

Hmmmmm, that would seriously make me wonder why. And don’t create two threads in the future. That’s a waste and poor forum etiquette.

    Apple.

Oh. Well. In that case you are doubly screwed.
