I must be tired. Been working on this for two days.
I have 2 desk top computers that have vegas and dvda on them and they work fine. Now i bought a laptop, I registered it with sony….I created a project on my laptop. I went to render it..It asked to register mpeg2. finally got it figured out….Now i went to render my audio to ac-3 and I’ve tried everything it seems and it still won’t allow me to register. Says the key you clicked is invalid… I called sony customer service and they said to just put in my dvd2 and register dvd2 which i did and it still didn’t work and it asks for your computer ID number. Which i couldn’t figure out how to get. I have my desk top computer ID number but it didn’t work. IT said to get your computer ID number double click on the icon on the registration page. which didn’t have a icon and not sure what registration page they’re talking about. I’m sure im tired and just am doing somthing dumb to keep form getting ac-3 registered. Thanks for letting me rave on………

Install and register DVDA and all will be fine. AC3 is included with DVDA – NOT Vegas. You also can’t use the info returned for another computer. Fully register on the laptop.

If needbe, at this point, just uninstall everything and start over. But do make sure you register DVDA which will automatically register both MPEG2 and AC3.
