refresh rate for LCDs and dropped frames
In one of my sessions at this year’s NAB I was told that I should set my monitor’s refresh rate to 85hz or higher. I’ve always done that for CRTs, but I’ve been told in the past to leave LCDs to their native 60hz for best performance though I can’t remember why. I asked the very knowledgable instructor about this and he referred me to these regarding dropped frames in FCP with a 60hz refresh:
