  • Refresh Nested Sequences?

Posted by Eddie Brega on October 17, 2005 at 10:55 pm

When I nest sequences into another and then lay video on top and edit as usual, after a while the nested sequences don’t update themselves properly so the video will be completely off. Sometimes it will be messed up during a dissolve and then once the dissolve is over, it will catch up with itself and play like it should. It happened on a previous project and now again on a current one. Anyone else having this problem? Any way to resolve/work-around it?

    Thanks – Eddie

I find the quickest thing to do is to grab the transparency line and drag it down then back up, forcing a rerender/refresh. Otherwise it just links to the old render file, except for where rerendering is needed, like on a dissolve, as you discovered.

    Toggling visibility also works. CONTROL+B.

Yep, it’s in the book and in the seminar….;-)

I tried both suggestions and found them to work, but not all of the time. Any other ideas? Thanks.
