Please forgive the off subject of this question. I’m having to re-format my hard drive as my FCP has been having problems and I want to clean out my drive and start from scratch. I’ve backed up pretty much everything on my master hard drive except – I can’t figure out where my email is kept. Does anyone know where I go to keep my history of email?

Thanks for the off subject help,

    Eric

Rebuilding your system drive is a dangerous and last ditch effort and there is no reason to presume it will solve your FCP problems.

You don’t want to back up pieces of your drive like this. You want a clone of your drive made to a similarly sized hard drive. Carbon Copy Cloner is free at versiontracker.com

The toss all of the FCP pieces from the clone.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Not arguing with Bogie on this, but you can find it at Your Hard Drive Name/Users/Whatever your user name is/Library/Mail
You can find your mailboxes in there.
