Reflection Issues – raytrace
Hi,
I’m following this tutorial: https://www.videocopilot.net/tutorial/3d_reflections/
For some reason the linear wipe will only work when the layer is not 3D. This obviously causes a huge issue…

Hmm, think I have solved by adding an adjustment layer between the text layers and applying the linear wipe to that…

3D layers in ray-traced comps cannot accept effects. Traditional Ae effects work on pixels, but the ray tracer thinks in terms of light, geometry, and materials.
