Reducing Project Size
Posted by Patrick Troy on September 20, 2007 at 6:28 ami see in other threads recommendations not to exceed 100meg project size.
What are the best methods for doing so?

September 20, 2007 at 8:38 amdepends on the nature of the project,
but the best and simplest overall approach is:cast off old sequences.
copy and paste them into another project.keeping your rushes in one project, and your cuts in another can work,
but you lose Master / Affiliate relationships on your clips.
and the ability to match back to the bin.if you have the sort of project that can be split neatly into sections,
then the way to do that is to “Save-as” your project to a “pt1” and then save-as again to a “pt2”, (or whatever terminology works for you)
then open them both and delete what you dont need from each.if you try to copy/paste bins & sequnces from one project into another you again loose master/afiliate relationships between browser clips and sequence clips.
cheers,
nick
