  • Reducing new AVI’s file size

I had a couple of very shaky clips which I wished to stabilize & it was suggested that the DeShaker filter used with Virtual dub was very good. The results were impressive. The problem is that I could not create the new clip file using the standard AVI codec & as a result the new clips are huge when compared to the original. I suppose that the new clips could be placed on the time line & then saved as AVI’s thus reducing the file size but I wondered if there was an easier way to do this?

    Thanks in advance

I should have added in previous post the reason for the huge files was because the video that was being saved was uncompressed since the standard codec wasn’t available,

    Thanks in advance
