Reducing Hum
I need help reducing a hum that was created by either boat electronics, cell phones, radio or mic or all. The trouble I’m having is finding the frequency in the hum reducer filter, I’ve scrolled all the way through. Is there any other way to get rid of this? Please help!

Oh is there!
Use SoundTrack Pro for this. it will find it all by itself and remove it pronto.
Send the file to Soundtrack Pro, then search “remove noise”… you set a “noise print” by isolating just a bit of the audio sans the voice in it. Then reduce that noise… it is truly easy and works great.

I need help removing hum — I am taping phone conversations on an old cassette player then recording that playback with my HVX200A so as to get it into FCP6 to work with it. The Final Cut filters don’t seem to do anything so I sent it to Soundtrack Pro to try the ‘Set Noise Print’ and ‘Reduce Noise’ option — no results there, either.
Can anyone suggest what I’m missing on it all?
