I use octane, it’s great but we are toying with subscribing to Maxon One, so I would get Redshift included and knock octane on the head.

Does RS have network rendering like Octane does? that is, can I, like in octane, use my two PCs linked together, and have them work in the live viewer and picture viewer?

And if so, does this mean I have to buy a full licence for both machines or does RS have render node licences like octane does?

We also have some M1 (or M2 i forget) macs in the studio, can I utilise those for render also?

    Thanks!

Since RS is now native in S26, I believe you can just use the multiple machine features in C4D

Thanks Jon. I’ve been told also that It’s bad practice to mix OS’s for network render as there will be some differences between mac and PC in the render. Shame.
