Redshift light distribution with texture
Hey !
In Octane you have the option to distribute the light with a texture in the distribution tap (see attached image)
I don’t see the same option in Redshift? (see attached image)
Is there a way I can do light distribution with texture inside Redshift?“Both are area light”

Yup, two ways
Click the … button beside “path” and find the image you want. Then reduces the Spread down to zero.
or
You can click “Add shader graph” beside the light type. That make a shader for the light which you can then pipe an texture into the colour channel.
Either way if you want to see the actual image you’ll need to reduce the intensity and the spread.

Thanks for the reply. The result is not quite what I was looking for 🙁
As you can see here in the images the result is quite different.
I what to distribute the image out in the room as it does in Octane.

Try point light instead of area.
